The Chief of Clan Scott, the Duke of Buccleuch, will host the first gathering of Clan Scott Societies on September 24 – 27, 2009. The Gathering, the first Clan Scott gathering ever held in the Borders, will have international appeal and is an official Homecoming Scotland 2009 event as announced by the First Minister of the Scottish Parliament, Alex Salmond. A planning committee has been established to coordinate with the Chief’s office in Scotland and will develop plans for the widest possible attendance.
